May Wrap Up – 2019

The month of May was not kind to me and my reading. I read a three books in total, which at first glance, at least for me, is quite average, but I really wanted to read more and get the reading average to at least five to make some sort of dent in my TBR. June is going to be quite busy for me, but I hope to get a chunk of reading done anyway. So, without further ado, here’s my May wrap up:

Three Dark Crowns – Kendare Blake

Up until May, Three Dark Crowns had been on my TBR since September of last year. It took me awhile to get to it, but I’m so glad I did. This book definitely did not disappoint. I loved the dark, grittily gripping feel of this novel. I have a full, spoiler-free review here!

My first read of June is actually One Dark Throne, which is going great – I’m enjoying it throughly!

My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sorcery of Thorns – Margaret Rogerson

Another highly anticipated read of the year! This book was kindly sent to me for review by Simon & Schuster. I loved the world of this book, the characters were so interesting and fun. The whole story was the original concept of good wins evil. You can find my review here!

I’m exited to see what Margaret comes out with next!

My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Nocturna – Maya Motayne

The third and final book I read in May was Nocturna by Maya Motayne. I finished this book on the 31st and I was happy about the elevation in my reading total of the month.

This book I read for a bookclub and I was hesitant going into it, but I loved it so much! The Latin theme is a real page turner. You can find my review here!

If you got this in your Fairyloot and are debating reading it, please do. It’s really good.

My rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A lot of four stars this month! I was really happy with the books I read, as I enjoyed all of them throughly! how did your reading go?

thanks for reading – nick.
